Career Synopsis:
Dr. Gena Cox is an organizational consultant and executive coach. In these roles she works directly with executives to (a) identify ways to enhance organizational effectiveness, (b) identify behaviors individual executives can change to enhance leadership effectiveness, (c) devise a plan to help make those changes, and (d) guide and support her clients as they make those changes. Dr. Cox is an organizational behavior assessment expert and is certified to use a variety of advanced personality, behavioral and organizational assessment tools. Dr. Cox is a member of the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, the American Psychological Association and the International Coach Federation. Prior to starting HCRC, Dr. Cox worked in corporate America to the level of vice-president. Additionally, she served as a consultant on a variety of organizational and leadership development issues. She has served as an adjunct professor of Industrial Psychology and Strategic Human Resources Management at the University of South Florida and as an instructor of Statistics and Research Methods as other colleges.
Dr. Cox is very active in her community and serves on several boards including the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the University of South Florida Alumni Association and the USF Stavros Center for Free Enterprise Education.
Dr. Cox earned a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida.
